Mia Collymore Abbas

Software Engineer II | Full-Stack Developer | Interactive Data Visualization Specialist

About Me

Hello! I'm Mia, a Software Engineer II at Mastercard's Technology, Strategy, & Transformation team in New York City. With over 3 years of professional experience, I specialize in interactive data visualization and full-stack development, creating intuitive dashboards and data-driven interfaces.

I'm passionate about translating complex data into meaningful visual stories and have expertise in building scalable solutions following industry best practices. My background in both Computer Science and Psychological Brain Sciences gives me a unique perspective on creating human-centered technologies.

Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, I enjoy problem-solving and thrive in collaborative work environments. In my leisure time, I engage with puzzles and read scholarly articles.

My interest in tech and design took root early — from an immersive coding program at Pixar Animation Studios to a design-thinking workshop at IDEO — and has carried through into how I approach building human-centered technologies today.
